General Practice for Young People – GP4YP
GP4YP is a youth friendly, free, confidential medical practice for young people. The practice focuses on health issues specific to young people, including physical health, mental health, alcohol and other drug use, sexual health and relationship issues. The aims of the service are to provide non-judgmental, easily accessible consultations. Clients are offered long appointment times so that the GPs can get to know the young person and fully understand their issues.
Co-located with Fremantle headspace, the GPs working at the practice have a special interest in youth and mental health. GP4YP is located conveniently in Fremantle with easy access to public transport. The practice is casually decorated to ensure that the young people attending feel comfortable; there are big couches in the waiting room, as well as a variety of youth specific health brochures and information.
Young people are required to have a medicare card to access GP services.
The practice operates on Thursdays 9am-12:45pm.
Drop in Monday to Friday 9-4pm to make an enquiry and/or have a look around.
